Twitch Login Safety & Permissions

Team Midnite uses Twitch login to verify your identity, protect your account, and provide secure access to our features. We never ask for your Twitch password and cannot access your private messages or change your account settings.

Note: Some permissions may also be used for our Twitch Bot features, which we may implement in the future to enhance community engagement and moderation. We will always notify you about new features that use these permissions.

What Permissions (Scopes) Do We Request?

• user:read:email – Allows us to read your email address from Twitch. This is used for account verification and important notifications only.
• user:read:follows – Lets us see which channels you follow. This helps us verify your streamer status and connect you with relevant communities. May also be used for future Twitch Bot features.
• channel:read:subscriptions – Lets us show you your own channel subscribers on our Creators page. We do not use this for eligibility or to share your subscriber data with others. May also be used for future Twitch Bot features.
• user:read:subscriptions – Allows us to show you which channels you are subscribed to, for your own reference and community engagement features. We do not use this for eligibility. May also be used for future Twitch Bot features.
• user:read:broadcast – Lets us see your broadcast settings (never to change them). Used for streamer tools and analytics. May also be used for future Twitch Bot features.
• user:read:chat – Allows us to read your chat participation (not private messages). Used for moderation and engagement features. May also be used for future Twitch Bot features.
• user:read:moderated_channels – Lets us see which channels you moderate. Used for team and community management. May also be used for future Twitch Bot features.
• user:read:blocked_users – Allows us to see which users you have blocked. Used for safety and moderation tools. May also be used for future Twitch Bot features.

Your Privacy & Security

• We never store your Twitch password or share your private data with third parties.
• All authentication is handled securely via Twitch's official OAuth system.
• You can revoke Team Midnite's access at any time from your Twitch Connections page.
